Vandals Slug Utes!!!

Score: 19

The Vandals Mac Hopson put a dagger through the hearts of the Utah faithful in Salt Lake City Friday night with a last minute 3 pointer that secured a hard fought Vandal win.  This could be a harbinger of a great season to come,  another Hopson-led NCAA Tourney team,  if anyone remembers the great Phil Hopson/Brian Kellerman teams of 20 years ago.

GO VANDALS!!!

Vandals first round CIT vs. Drake

Score: 12

The Vandals get a home game match-up in the CIT against Drake University, this should be a good game.  A possible 2d round match-up with Pacific University is on the horizon.  Go Vandals.

Something to build on.

The Vandal's basketball team comes up big for the season, finishing the year strong and with a overall winning record.  Kudo's to Mac Hopson for a great season, and now let's hope Idaho can build on this success by recruiting some players to Moscow.  Small-school / small town programs like the Vandals need to concentrate on players from around the world who are looking to test their game against American college competition, and gain an education at a top-notch U.S. college like Idaho.  The northwest seems to draw more than it's share of overseas talent, and Moscow needs to have a recruiter who can point out the wonderful attributes and possibilities available at the U. of Idaho.  There are way to many GREAT things about Moscow, Northern Idaho and the U. of Idaho for the Vandal sports programs not to improve and become the competitive athletic programs that all Vandals fans have been missing for some time now.

A sweep against the Broncos.  Oh how sweet it feels.

The Vandals trailed for most of this game but stuck to their game and were able to overcome on Boise's home floor, showing some nice mental toughness.  Maybe with the weaker part of the conference schedule coming up we can get a little momentum going into the WAC tournament, then who knows what might happen.  We've already shown that we can play with the top teams.

Go Vandals!!!!!!

Nice showing

Even though San Jose is in the bottom half of the league this is a nice convincing win.  The Vandals came out in the second half and played well and seemed to keep the pressure on the entire 20 minutes.  Nice to be seeing fewer and fewer let downs.  Now we need to keep this momentum next week in Boise.  A sweep of the boys in blue would be great.

I wonder if any of the boise faitful will thank us for the assist by working USU hard to make them vulnerable.
